He believes that international peace can only be achieved through economic development, self- preservation, and a continued commitment to his long-term goals. His philanthropic work and general support have helped the Afghan people become independent, self-sufficient, and have a sustainable future.

Haji Ajmal Rahmani began his public service as a member of the Parwan Chamber of Commerce. He was elected as the Chairman of the Chamber shortly after, and he later became a Board Member of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). During his tenure at ACCI, he worked to promote the interests of the private sector and advocated for a balance between regulation and economic growth.

Haji Ajmal Rahmani was encouraged to run for Parliament by the young people of Afghanistan who looked up to him as a true voice of the people. In the 2018 Parliamentary elections, Haji Ajmal Rahmani received the highest number of votes from the people of Kabul and was selected to represent them in Afghanistan's Parliament (Wolesi Jirga). He served in the Parliament from 2019 until August 2021

In the Parliament, he was able to build a strong coalition of MPs who shared a common desire for government reform and a better future for young Afghans. They delivered results for the people through advocacy and legislative efforts, and Haji Ajmal Rahmani was appointed the Common Coordination Leader by his peers with the support of young, educated, and first-time members. He was most proud of bringing together a diverse group of like-minded, western educated and democratic MPs that balanced ethnicity and gender and transcended geographic and tribal boundaries in a way that was unprecedented at the time. While in office, Haji Ajmal Rahmani championed initiatives to bridge the gap of understanding between various tribes and leaders of Afghanistan and their international partners, promoting enlightenment and projects that made Afghanistan more democratic, open, and peaceful.

As a staunch advocate and supporter of Afghan women and children Haji Ajmal Rahmani was instrumental in implementing the first ever legislation to guarantee women’s rights and legislation to protect the rights of children. He spearheaded a successful effort to pass the Women & Juvenile Protection laws in Parliament which were pending for nearly a decade prior to his arrival. Haji Ajmal Rahmani also worked to build and strengthen relationships with western allies and international partners through dialogue and diplomacy.
